The Hardcover Collector's Edition of the Man Who Died Twice.

A choice-driven solvable murder mystery in the Sherlock Holmes Victorian London setting (based off the Sherlock Mysteries mobile app game).

Price includes shipping within the U.S.

118 page oversized hardcover graphic novel. 7.5 x 11.5 inches.

Rated M for mature. Not suitable for children.

Own a part of comic history with the First Graphic Novel of its kind!

Take on the role of a Victorian Era investigator in the employ of London's Greatest Detective, Sherlock Holmes.

Unlike most mystery fiction where you simply follow along, in the Man Who Died Twice (TMWDT), YOU must WORK to discover the narrative surrounding the crime at hand.

The story itself is set!

The clues you discover and what path your investigation takes is totally up to you!

The Man Who Died Twice opens on the investigation of a murder in Bunhill Fields Burial Grounds. Apparently a grave robber caught the bad end of a double-cross and was left behind after another party made off with the valuables... but as you already surmised, in Sherlock Holmes' London things are rarely as clear cut as they appear.

For the man lying across the recently exhumed coffin is the same man supposedly buried in the coffin three days prior!

Great Scott, how and why did the same bloke die twice!?

Just like a real-world Victorian era detective, this is the situation you're thrown into...

Now go...

and detect!

The rest is really up to you.

All the details surrounding the murder are the points you'll have fun discovering in this first of its kind graphic novel. Count on meeting an assortment of characters from various walks of Victorian London life at a variety of eye-catching locations.

TMWDT is not a traditional linear story.

There's no hero's journey to experience here.

Instead there is a core game element of TMWDT.

TMWDT focuses on Individual scenes or chapters (as we refer to the them in the mobile game app), where you investigate locations and interact with people in an attempt to discover clues and information to solve the case at hand.

The charm of the story isn't in the rising action, or climax you would find in a typical comic or Holmes story.

The charm of this choice-driven graphic novel lies in the characters you meet, the locations you visit, and the deductive reasoning process that legitimately challenges you to solve the case. All while putting you in control of the narrative flow.

In the original Sherlock Holmes stories, Holmes sometimes made use of a network of street kids to help him with his cases. This group of London's young riff-raff were known as the Baker Street Irregulars.

The Man Who Died Twice follows, Mr. Wiggins, one of those very street kids, now an adult.

Under his mentor and employer's tutelage Mr. Wiggins is fast becoming a highly capable detective in his own right. Perhaps with a slightly rougher edge than Mr. Holmes.

When London's greatest detective is otherwise occupied, Wiggins sends his two best "men" to work the case. That would be Mr. Wiggins and YOU! That's right, you are the second character in the story.

As Wiggin's colleague, you'll see yourself throughout the book... often in the background up to 'detective things.'

A solvable mystery experience that satisfies!

TMWDT doesn't hand you the answers.

You literally have to figure this book out.

You will be challenged to read between the lines and put the clues together... can you do it?

Out of all the cases we've put out through Sherlock Mysteries, this case ranks as about a 6-7 on the Scotland Yard scale of difficulty.

  • In case you love murder mysteries but lack highly tuned detective skills, don't worry, 1888 London's got your back... The London Times paper, Sherlock Holmes himself and Scotland Yard are here to push you in the right direction, should you choose to visit them for the help.

SHERLOCK MYSTERIES

Sherlock Mysteries is an interactive-novel-mobile-game app currently available for Android phone users, published by indie game developer Ilya Platonov.

You can go download it right now and play some of the free cases!

Hey wait! If you go play the app, don't play 'the Man Who Died Twice' and spoil the Graphic Novel!

The mobile app premise is exactly what we've described here for this Graphic Novel project... only, with the mobile app you get fancy technology stuff at your disposal, like voice actors, clickable directories, pop up maps, savable clues and more.

Originally, Nick Macari was brought on to write the Man Who Died Twice for the mobile app as the introductory case for the game.

After being well received, Nick went on to script 5 more premium cases; the Red River series... (That would be the Thames... red with blood.)

The mobile game is quite extraordinary and has established a loyal, satisfied fan base.

You may have already noticed some of the google play reviews throughout this page 🙂 Here are a few more. Real people. Real reviews of the mobile app--again, same core script and experience as this graphic novel.
